We need your help, as someone who uses meal kits (or you have done in the past) to give us insights into how we can carve a niche, improve, and really challenge the big foreign brands.
There are two jugganauts in the meal kit space, HelloFresh and Marley Spoon. They have a lot in common. Both German, both part owned by venture capitalists Rocket Internet, both with huge marketing budgets. It’s the latter part that we struggle with.
Most marketing channels are auction based, and while these two giants battle it out and are happy to make losses, local players like us struggle to be heard and are largely priced out.
